The month of October I took some time away from the kitchen to squeeze some personal decorating lessons with my very good friend, Yvette Romero, from Lovin From My Oven… She is amazing!!!.
Since I am a self taught baker, I wanted to take some classes to see if what I learned on my own was the right techniques; most of them were sooooooooo a point for me =) !
I was able to squeeze in a Birthday Cupcake Cake for my niece Yari and
Two Halloween Cakes; Let me know what you guys think…

I'm Sorry! I Abandon U!

I didn’t realize that I have been away from my blog this long… I have abandoned you guys!  & for that I’m sorry! I will try my hardest to keep things up to date and posted….
Well let’s see, I have a few things that I have worked on but haven’t really been busy since coming back from California… If you have been following my Facebook page, then you have seen what I have been up to… and for those that have not, let’s get started….
Right before I left for California in July, I made a cake for a special little lady named “MIA” she is such a cutie! It was a Princess and The Frog Theme; which is one of my favorite Disney movies, this cake was a doll cake with two dozen cupcakes. The doll cake was a Vanilla Cake with Banana Cream Custard filling; cupcakes were in Vanilla and Chocolate cake with Vanilla Buttercream, garnished with a Chocolate frog for the prince.

I also did some Cake Pops for the birthday girl!

Prince Naveen on her basket was also made by felt and pipe cleaners …
Inspired by Fun Family…

Tinkerbell’s - Silvermist Fairy in a Princess Dress!

I love making doll cakes; it’s like playing dress up when I was a little girl. Changing the looks of my dolls was a habit, so I was very excited to work on this order….
I loved the way my costumer changed the theme of one Tinkerbell’s Fairy and gave her a Princess makeover for a day! We also changed her colors of Blues to Pink’s for a girly look!
To keep cost down the customer purchased a sheet cake and brought it to me the night before the event. I made the doll cake and attached it to the single layer sheet cake. I also incorporated the dolls color schemes to the sheet cake so it can look as one. Cake Pops in Princess Theme were made to be given out as favors.
Doll cake was a vanilla cake, strawberry filling, and BC frosting decorated with pearl beads. Cake pops were both Vanilla and Chocolate covered in Pink and White Chocolate and decorated with princess items (crown, wand, castles).
